This microwave is missing most of the features I loved about my 2009 KitchenAid microwave. I'm still learning, but miss many of the drop-down menus that gave me a wide variety of features. I realize this new one senses most foods and dishes, but not all sensing is accurate over cooking some things, under cooking many others. I love the add 30 button, and find it very convenient. I also like once I've cooked something I can touch 0 and add more time.
Hopefully in time, I will gain greater appreciation of the new and different applications in this microwave.
Thank you KitchenAid for always having the best products. My kitchen is 100% KitchenAid, applilances, tools, pots and pans.

We purchased our combo microwave/hood two years ago and we love the design, but we don't love the problems. The handle gets extremely hot, but we can use our oven mitts and overlook this detail. What we can't overlook is the problem with our door. We figure there is a sensor in the part of the microwave where the top door tab goes into when closed. The keypad keeps saying open/close as if the door has not been shut properly. We even pushed at the opening once and it seemed to work. The sensor wasn't registering closed today and we pushed the opening and now it doesn't work at all! There aren't any lights on the keypad or anything. Great look but poor quality.

Just recently had our new microwave installed
Should have looked more closely at the functionality of the oven . There is 1rack that is centered in oven . It can be removed but not repositioned at a different height . Any coffee cup over 6-8 ounces won't fit with rack in. Have to remove rack place on stove or counter to heat up a cup of coffee bummer "our bad for not looking closer" oh well

I purchased this unit and waited more than 6 weeks for delivery. I have only used it for one week and it seems to be working well. A feature I do not like is the fact that if you are timing something elsewhere and then you put on the microwave it deletes the prior. Messes me up big time but I will have to adjust.

I've been using it for a couple months. It heats so much quicker than my old microwave and heats evenly. I didn't trust the sensor at 1st but it's been working great. Love that it can fit my huge casserole

Have been using now for a few weeks and have noticed that its super quiet compared to our old microwave that I can hardly tell its running. My only complaint (4/5 stars) is that it uses incandescent light bulbs and not LEDs to match my other kitchen appliances.

We purchased our new microwave at Lowe's. It cooks wonderfully and is a great addition to our active lifestyle. My wife who has had numerous surgeries says that the chime sounds like an IV machine when in warning mode which definitely gets your attention. Highly recommend if you are looking for a new microwave.

We purchased eight appliances at the end of 2016. The microwave was fine for 2 years, and has been nothing but trouble since. We get an open/close door message when trying to use the microwave. After opening and closing the door - nothing. Can't get it to work at all. When it actually decides to work, after removing food from the unit, it doesn't reset and continues to beep as if the food wasn't removed. The interior light doesn't come on half of the time. Needless to say it is out of warranty. What now? Is there a fix for this?

We had our microwave installed a week ago. It looks great in our kitchen, has none of the annoying plastic pieces that will break within a year that I disliked about our previous Kitchenaid model. I even enjoy the sounds it makes. It is surprisingly spacious and allows us to use our largest, square plates without hitting the sides. My one complaint is how loud the exhaust fan is. We do a lot of cooking and if this fan is on, it is difficult to have a conversation at normal volume.

Nice looking microwave except the logo is noticeably not straight. I miss the capability of hitting a button for 1 through 6 minutes of microwaving. The inside seems rather tinny.

I purchase and installed this unit about a month ago. My son and I had the installation completed in under an hour. It looks great in black stainless and has functioned perfectly. I enjoy the larger than normal turntable which allows for more than one bowl or small plate at a time. The new tone are refreshing and the digital display and controls are very intuitive for our family both young and old. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.
