This dishwasher is so quiet the only way to tell if it is running is to look at the control panel. Very convenient to load and with the forced air drying, you don't have to load certain items only in the top shelf. Love the 3rd rack for silverware.

We have not run the dishwasher yet, but the installation has been a lot less than easy. The fit is really tight, and the instructions, while accurate, do not have clear diagrams to confirm the words. The side 'filler strips' provided are useless. There is no way to install them (per the instructions) and get the machine in the opening or install them after putting it in the opening. They would be nice to have them in place, but the cabinet face frames don't allow them to be installed.

Pros: - This dishwasher is super quiet! So quiet, we have to look to see if it's really running. - I love the additional tray at the top for knifes and other larger flat utensils Cons: - The bottom rack is limited in placing large skillets or deep pans as the soap dispenser is right in the middle of the door vs off to one-side.This really only gives you the one left side to place larger wide pieces to wash. - Even though the soap dispenser is never blocked, Our dishwasher detergent pods never totally dissolve. (see picture). - The lower rack front left wheel kept coming off when we first got it. I finally figured out why after it broke off and I had to attach it with zip-ties. During manufacturing, they did a very sloppy job of caulking the lower seam and left so much extra caulk where the rack wheel went (see photo). Once I was able to remove all the excess on the wheel track, it glides better.

Does a great job cleaning. Prior dishwasher basically was just a dish rinser, so this is an amazing upgrade. It is very quiet and has multiple settings which are helpful with kids in the house. The WiFi connectivity seems a bit gimmicky, but it is fun to get a notification when the cycle is done. Annoyed that the soundproofing mastic is already falling off of the underside of the washer after only about 3 months of use. Also, apparently we have high countertops and the washer does not height adjust enough and leaves a inch gap between the top of the washer and the bottom of the countertop.

It is a great dishwasher since it one of the reasons we got it is that it dries plastics. It did come out of the box with a small piece of trim not connected that for now I corrected it with masking tape. It was hanging off to the side just enough to catch the side wall. The troubles I had with it was the installation. I installed it myself, so that's why I gave it 5 stars because the dishwasher itself really is great, but the install guide, based off my understanding, was heavy and detailed on many things, but skipped or was vague on a few things. Those things caused me frustration. The other thing is that is came with a bunch of different insulation that is only used if necessary, but it did not come with the power cord. Since there are 2 lengths of power cords available to purchase separately, they decided to send none. So in other words, insulation is not needed to run the dishwasher (received a bunch of that I didn't need), power cord that is necessary to operate is sold separately. So in all between the installation instructions and no included power cord (which I'm not sure is standard to not include which shows my ignorance) added up to a frustrating day. By the way, I did go on youtube and a search on google to help me with the install and there was nothing pertaining to exactly what I was working with. Many came close, but I was in my own to finish some last little bits.

New Diswasher 5/20/2022

We have a new GE Profile dishwasher after having a Miele for years. The Profile is extremely quiet, and seems to clean well, but there are a few things about it that are frustrating: 1) dishes don't load well, but tend to lean over and not "stand up straight"; 2) flatware doesn't fit well in the top shelf compared with our beloved Miele with the similar flatware shelf. GE should have just copied Miele. It was a "perfect" design. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! 3) we've noticed the detergent pods don't dissolve completely and leave residue on the inside of the door. 4) Our dinner plates are 11 inches in diameter. Pretty average. The rotating power-wash wand hits them! How can this be??!!

This was to replace my 8 yr old GE dishwasher that served it's purpose while in service. I had fairly decent luck with previous one so why not get a newer version. The turbo dry seems to dry just as good as my old one. To my surprise maybe my old one also had a fan assisted heater? Idk but things like the rim of plastic lids still are slightly wet just like my old one. Not a deal breaker still a good machine. But if I was to really critique something it would be what someone else mentioned in the reviews about the smell it emits towards the end of the drying cycle. Not sure what that is, just hopefully it's the newness that needs to wear off. Outside of that it's a pretty solid machine!

I love the features of this dishwasher except for no rinse feature. Just there is only 2 of us in the household I usually rinse our dishes each day until it is full. I was not aware of the missing feature until it was installed. That said I do like the other features. The 3rd top rack is great for my knives and large spoons.

I run the GE dishwasher and cannot tell the dishwasher is running because it runs so quiet. It does its job of getting dishes cleaned as expected. Like with any other dishwasher, it has its moment of not being able to clean some dishes if dishes werent precleaned before stacking them in the washer.

Second time a charm 4/7/2022

The first dw 785 series had problems from day one. The 'clean' display wouldn't pop up at the end of cycle. Every two days there would be a notification saying that low rinse although the rinse aid was full. Every few days the ld (leak detect) error pops up and nothing works at that point. Then called the GE and they arranged for a new unit swap as the parts were going to take forever. We waited over 3 months for the first unit and waited for another three weeks for the replacement. The second unit seems to be working without issues and we are satisfied. Hopefully it will serve us for a long time.

This is so quiet we need to look at the display to see it is running. Dishes come out very clean. I intentionally loaded some Pyrex dishes with food baked on..... they came out spotless. The only down-side so far is the second rack. The layout is not ideal for the size glasses and mugs we have. Some rows are too wide, and teller glasses fall over when moving the rack. Others are too narrow and things don't fit. You can put the glasses over a tine but then you cannot fit as much.

This is a great dishwasher. You get what you pay for. It's super quiet and cleans well when you use quality detergent. The one item I want to draw attention to is the trim. There is a chromed plastic strip that is attached by plastic clips to the door frame. Mine arrived broken. The appliance was installed more than 30 days prior to us closing on the house. We noticed the first week of being in our home. GE did not want to honor this as a warranty item because it's cosmetic and per my builder supply house they will not warrant any cosmetic items not reported in the first 30 days after installation. Still trying to get this resolved. Not a very expensive part but still a defect I'd like corrected by the manufacturer.
